The team is now entering their 17th season in Class B Competition. Our School is well known for our soccer program throughout the years, it makes us distinguished. We have made it to state for many consecutive years, but the streak was broken last year. And this year will be very difficult because we graduated 11 seniors from last year. We hope that we can all work really hard this upcoming season and get back in the streak of participating in state, even with the loss of a lot of starters. A big percentage of our school doesn’t go out for soccer as much as other sports, which can make it difficult in our competition, most other schools have a bigger student body, which is easier to have better players.
Our school is considered a Class C1 School, but since our soccer program is so good we play most class B teams for more competition. Even without a big percentage of players going out for soccer, we still have won a total of 4 times than losses. We have been district champions for 9 seasons. And the program has consistently been ranked in the top 10 programs in the state.
For most sports our school’s competitive rival is Lincoln Christian, mainly with Football and Volleyball, but since they do not have a soccer program our main rival is Pius. This year, however, Pius moved to a Class A season, so we won’t be playing them this season. Most of our players are unhappy about this because we liked the competitive rivalry, and are sad to see the tradition end.
